Texas

We went to Texas to visit Shane and Tricia Wilson (Mark's sister and her family). We had a good time going to the kids baseball and softball games, the Dallas temple, Texas Rangers game, Tricia's sonogram to see the twins, and seeing my friend and old roommate Emily Parma from college.

One Year Older

Yep, I turned one year older this month. Mark and I with my favorite birthday dessert a Dairy Queen Ice Cream Cake.
I was teaching Mark how to cut an ice cream cake to feed the masses. I have a few more years of experience with cake cutting but he is a fast learner. YUMMY cake.

General Conference Weekend II

General Conference Weekend

Alicia, Hilary, and Baby B chilling after dinner at Red Rock. Hilary and I came to town for a Deloitte recruiting event at BYU. We had dinner and got to spend some time with Alicia while the boys went to the priesthood session. Hil, Alicia, and I outside of Red Rock. We of course had to take a picture as it is custom after eating at Red Rock. It was a nice day in Salt Lake with the sun shining but it definitely was a little colder than I am used to in Las Vegas. Thanks for letting me stay at your house Hil!

MWC Tournament Las Vegas

GO COUGARS! Mark is being either a little shy for the camera or mischievous, you decide....
Natalie came down for the MWC tournament with Jared. We had a good time hanging out with them and having them stay at our house. This was at the BYU v. SDSU game. Cougs won.

Chicago 2008

Mark and I went to Chicago for a weekend. Well, I was actually already in the Midwest working (and freezing) doing audit work and Mark flew out for the weekend. We did as much as we could in the short time we had. We walked the Magnificent Mile, did some downtown shopping, had lunch atop the Hancock Tower, went to a Bulls v. Pistons basketball game, went to the Sears Tower Observatory, and ate some Chicago sytle pizza at Giradono's. Neither of us had ever been to Chicago and we really enjoyed the experience minus the weather (no pun intended). I can't remember having been so cold in a very long time and Mark thinks it was the coldest he has ever been. On our way back from the Bulls game we had to wait for the bus for 25 minutes in -10 to -15 degrees with the wind chill factor. Time in Washington

Jacob, Jennifer, and Jenson at Zoo lights. Zoo lights is at the Point Defiance Zoo in Tacoma and they decorate the zoo with tons of Christmas lights. Unfortunately all of the animals were put away but the lights were still very cool.

Mark and I enjoying our treats from Affairs chocolates after the New Year. We hung out with my Mom and Dad for the evening and had a good time.
Mark with the train after arriving in Portland. My Dad, Mom, Mark, and I took a train ride from Tacoma to Portland. The scenery as we traveled was beautiful and it had been a long time since I had rode a train and a first for Mark. We walked around downtown Portland (lead by my Dad who went to Medical School in Portland), shopped downtown, went to a movie, ate dinner, stayed at the Marriott for a night, and went to the biggest bookstore in North America called Powell's. The bookstore was amazing and there were so many levels. We didn't have a chance to go on all of the levels because we spent a lot of time in the Children's section but it was still very fun. Going to Portland on the train had to be one of the highlights of the vacation. Thanks Mom and Dad!
