Chicago 2008

Mark and I went to Chicago for a weekend. Well, I was actually already in the Midwest working (and freezing) doing audit work and Mark flew out for the weekend. We did as much as we could in the short time we had. We walked the Magnificent Mile, did some downtown shopping, had lunch atop the Hancock Tower, went to a Bulls v. Pistons basketball game, went to the Sears Tower Observatory, and ate some Chicago sytle pizza at Giradono's. Neither of us had ever been to Chicago and we really enjoyed the experience minus the weather (no pun intended). I can't remember having been so cold in a very long time and Mark thinks it was the coldest he has ever been. On our way back from the Bulls game we had to wait for the bus for 25 minutes in -10 to -15 degrees with the wind chill factor. The Bulls game was awesome and yes that is the Michael Jordan statue we are standing out in front of! BubbleShare: Share photos - Green Kids Toys

Time in Washington

Jacob, Jennifer, and Jenson at Zoo lights. Zoo lights is at the Point Defiance Zoo in Tacoma and they decorate the zoo with tons of Christmas lights. Unfortunately all of the animals were put away but the lights were still very cool.
Mark at the Aquarium at Zoo lights. Hopefully, this will be the closest he ever gets to being inside a shark's mouth.
Rainbow at Zoo lights. We took other pictures of the lights such as the two Narrows bridges but they were blurry :(
Mark and I enjoying our treats from Affairs chocolates after the New Year. We hung out with my Mom and Dad for the evening and had a good time.
Mark with the train after arriving in Portland. My Dad, Mom, Mark, and I took a train ride from Tacoma to Portland. The scenery as we traveled was beautiful and it had been a long time since I had rode a train and a first for Mark. We walked around downtown Portland (lead by my Dad who went to Medical School in Portland), shopped downtown, went to a movie, ate dinner, stayed at the Marriott for a night, and went to the biggest bookstore in North America called Powell's. The bookstore was amazing and there were so many levels. We didn't have a chance to go on all of the levels because we spent a lot of time in the Children's section but it was still very fun. Going to Portland on the train had to be one of the highlights of the vacation. Thanks Mom and Dad!

Christmas 2007

Mark and my Christmas tree. It was the first one we have decorated and we were proud of it. The star for the top came later.
The Browns and Forsythes at Betty and Stu's hanging out on Christmas Eve.
Mark and I chilling on the couch on Christmas Eve.
The Brown kids "lining up" on the stairs before coming down or up (as it used to be in the old house) to get our presents on Christmas day. This was Mark's and little Jenson's first experience with lining up.
Heather and Jenson crawling around the house. I think Jenson is a little surprised to be seeing someone crawling beside him. He is a walker now but was quite the fast crawler at the time.

Disneyland Part Deux

Mark and I went to Disneyland the last weekend in October. Our good friend Natalie who lives in Southern California and absolutely loves Disneyland came with us. We had two fun filled days in the parks. Mark hadn't been to Disneyland in over ten years so there was a lot of new stuff to see for him, including a whole new park (California Adventures). Overall we had a great time and would eventually love to go see Disneyworld in Orlando.BubbleShare: Share photos - Green Kids Toys

Friends Visiting

Me, Chelsie, and Clark at the house after dinner at Chili's. I know this was a while ago but I have been meaning to post it for some time now.
Mark, Sarah, and I in Caesar's Palace after dinner at the Cheescake factory. I know it seems like all we do with our friends is eat.

Willis, Sarah, and Mark at the Cheesecake Factory. It is always fun to have friends visit and catch up with what is going on in their lives. We'd love to have more visitors!
